The Offline Expense Tracker is a free, open-source, browser-based expense tracking application that:

• Operates entirely within your web browser
• Stores all data locally using browser localStorage
• Does not require account registration
• Does not transmit data to any servers
• Provides expense tracking and budget management tools

3. Privacy and Data Storage

3.1 Local Storage Only

All expense data, categories, and settings are stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We have no servers, databases, or any means to access your data.

3.2 Data Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Backing up your expense data regularly
• Maintaining the security of your device
• Exporting data before clearing browser storage
• Protecting exported data files

3.3 No Data Collection

We do not:

• Collect any personal information
• Track your usage or behavior
• Use cookies or analytics
• Share data with third parties (we have no data to share)

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of the Offline Expense Tracker, you agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Take responsibility for backing up your data
• Understand that clearing browser data will delete all stored expenses
• Not attempt to exploit or misuse the Service
• Accept that the Service is provided "as is"

5. Intellectual Property

The Offline Expense Tracker is released under the MIT License. This means:

• The source code is freely available
• You can use, copy, modify, and distribute the software
• Attribution to the original authors is required
• The software is provided without warranty

6. Disclaimers and Limitations

8. Third-Party Services

The Offline Expense Tracker uses the following third-party library:

• Chart.js - For rendering charts and graphs (loaded from CDN)

Use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and licenses.

As a free, open-source project:
